To love looking at gravestones? The churches and cathedrals here are particularly fascinating given the timeframe for some of these fascinating tombs and markers. Am I really gazing at the final resting place of someone that died 12 centuries ago?! I am sure the idea that your loved one is resting within the walls of these magnificent spaces is comforting. But I wonder if they knew that their names would be seen by generations (and generations and generations) to come?
